Curation Topic

“Accompanied Effect” refers to although people have different points of views, after different forces and voices encountering with each other, changes or new connections would occur.

Being inspired by hot debates about 2017-2018 Taiwan’s referendum of same-sex marriage, nuclear power plants, and education issues, my teammates and I thus organized TEDx events which might bring a new form of discussion through technology and design.

We set the curation topic as “Accompanied Effect”, which is originated from one of the weather phenomena of typhoon. It refers to although people have different points of views, after different forces and voices encountering with each other, changes or new connections would occur.

Outcome | TEDxSalon

• Invited 3 speakers from psychology, media and design background to discuss how to jump out comfort zone and sense the world.
• Brought 80+ participants in the TEDxSalon.
